Counselor's Corner
I am excited to begin my 10th year as your school counselor. I am a Certified School Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor.  I received my B.S. in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and my Masters of Education in Counseling from Sam Houston State University.  As an educator with 21 years of experience in the field of education and counseling, my goal is to facilitate students achieving their full academic potential through guidance activities related to person/social, career, and academic concerns.  My counseling program offers support for students and parents through individual and group counseling, lunch bunch groups, classroom guidance lessons, mediation, parent/child conferences, and referrals for community services.  Some of the topics include adjusting to changes in the family, dealing with anger control, resisting negative peer pressure, developing social skills, anti-bullying, and conflict resolution.
