Este es mi tercer año trabajando en el programa de PASS en la escuela de Travis. Estamos super entusiasmadas de empezar un maravilloso año con este programa. Project Acceleration for Student Success
 What Research says: Students are more likely to drop out of school if..
   They are older compared to their grade-level peers.
   They struggle with attendance.  
  • They have negative attitudes towards school. 
They are from single-parent families

Key Components of

1.  Positive attitudes towards school:
Smaller class size allows teachers to know their students better and build relationships.
Motivational programs. 
Goal setting.
Support and Daily Monitoring. College visits.
 2.  Academics:
 Individualized instruction.
 Compressed curriculum.
 Best practices.
Teaching student strategies in order to perform better on class work.

3.  Family Outreach:
 Regular feedback to parents.
Strong connection between home and school.

  • Important: Comunucation is vital, please do it frequently. If you can't come please call or send a note to school. ( for appointment call school and ask for Mrs. Adarme. Please leave a message to call you back if you can't reach me). I can assist your child, your family and you so don't hesitate to call me! I would love to help you!
  • Establecer un lugar y una hora para que sus hijos hagan la tarea. Revisar que tarean tiene y asistirlo(a)  cuando lo necesite.
  • Please stablish a place and ed time for your child to do homework.  Check what it is for homework and assist them when needed.

  • Revisar el Folder del Martes y devolverlo firmado a la escuela.
  • Check Tuesday Folder  and returned to the teacher.

  • Informar a la maestra de cualquier situacion que pueda afectar la educacion de su hijo.
  • Please inform me of any situation that is affecting you child's education.
  • Recuerde de venir a la escuela y participar como voluntario esto es muy importante para el exito de su hijo. Participe en la Associacion de Pades de Familia. Sea voluntario!
  • Remeber to come to participate in Parent Meetings/PTO. Volunteerig in school  is very important beacuse that shows your child how important is school to you.
